Due to the story focusing on a local lord, the game places emphasis on realm-building, with player decisions affecting several aspects of the gameplay. The game is modeled quite heavily on the tabletop experience and in the style of classics such as Baldur's Gate, with combat using Real-Time with Pause (a turn-based mode emulating tabletop Pathfinder was added in the Definitive Edition patch). The game includes writing by Chris Avellone, and was released on September 25th, 2018.
